Erectyle Dysfunction Drug Sales

The impotence treatment market acknowledges as dominant oral drug Pfizer's Viagra (Sildenafil) with approximately 70% of the worldwide dollar market share. Since 1998 when it was first approved until now, Viagra has kept its leader position with amazing sales figures. However, a new competitor came along in February, 2003. The pill labeled by Lilly Icos LLC has made major leaps in a short period of time threatening to reach the peek any time soon.

The third quarter of 2004 brought Lilly Icos LLC a sales increase of nearly $20 million compared to the second quarter of the same year. Moreover, October 2004 was $100 million more profitable than October 2003. Financial specialists would call this an enormous jump which will probably determine even more sales as chain reaction.
Pfizer Inc., on the other hand, underwent a sales drop of over $70 million in the third quarter of 2004 alone. Viagra's 70% of market share don't seem that safe all of a sudden.

Cialis, however, seems to enjoy the public's approval especially in the United States. European countries and even Canada proved rather conservative considering Cialis and asking for more arguments in accepting it.
